SGT MAJ KRISTOPHER HENLEY

Sergeant Major Kristopher Keith Henley was born on 8 August, 1986 in Newport News, Virginia. He enlisted in the Marine
Corps and reported for Recruit Training at Parris Island, South Carolina on 14 January 2008. Upon graduation as a Private, he attended
Marine Combat Training, Camp Geiger, North Carolina and was promoted to the rank of Private First Class. Sergeant Major Henley
then attended the Motor Transport Automotive Maintenance Basic Course in Camp Johnson, North Carolina and was assigned the
MOS of 3521. Sergeant Major Henley was then ordered to report to Combat Logistics Regiment 35, Combat Logistics Company 36,
Iwakuni, Japan from September 2008 to September 2010 where he served as Motor Transportation Maintenance Technician, while
assigned to Combat Logistics Company 36, Sergeant Major Henley was promoted to the ranks of Lance Corporal, and Corporal.

In September of 2010 Sergeant Major Henley was ordered to report to Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd Maintenance Battalion,
General Support Maintenance Company, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for duty as Floor Chief and Shop Chief. On July of 2011
Sergeant Major Henley was given orders to 2nd Supply Battalion Reinforced, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for duty as Safety NCOIC
and Organizational Intermediate Automotive Technician where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Helmand
Province, Afghanistan. While at 2nd Supply Battalion Sergeant Major Henley was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.


In July 2012 Sergeant Major Henley was ordered to report to Combat Logistics Regiment 25, Combat Logistics Company 21 and
served as the Shop Chief and Platoon Sergeant through July 2014. Sergeant Major Henley than received orders to the Basic Recruiter's
Course. Sergeant Major Henley was then assigned to Permanent Contact Station Danville, Recruiting Substation Lynchburg,
Recruiting Station Richmond, 4th Marine Corps District as a Canvassing recruiter and was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant
meritoriously. In June of 2016 Sergeant Major Henley was assigned as SNCOIC of Recruiting Substation Charlottesville until August
2017. He was than assigned to be the SNCOIC of Recruiting Substation Newport News where he was promoted meritoriously to the
rank of Gunnery Sergeant and was selected to lateral move to MOS 8412 (Career Recruiter). In February 2019 Sergeant Major Henley
was assigned to be the SNCOIC of Recruiting Substation Pembroke. Sergeant Major Henley than received orders to Military Entrance
Processing Station Fort Lee In June of 2019. In June 2021 following his orders from Fort Lee Military Entrance Processing Station
Sergeant Major Henley received orders to become the Officer Selections Team Chief in Charlottesville, Virginia. Sergeant Major
Henley was selected to the rank of First Sergeant in December 2021 and received orders to Marine Corps Security force Regiment and
executed orders in May 2022. There he was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company. First Sergeant Henley than transferred to
Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, Alpha Company, January 2023. January 2025, 1stSgt Henley was selected to become the Fleet
Antiterrorism Security Team Battalion Unit Senior Enlisted Leader. January 2026 First Sergeant Henley was selected to the Rank of
Sergeant Major. April 2026 Sergeant Major Henley checked into Recruiting Station Raleigh to become the Recruiting Station Sergeant
Major.


Sergeant Major Henley's personal decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal
(3rd Award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
