Sergeant Major Moore was born on 4 September 1985 in Delta, Colorado and graduated from Mariner High School in Cape Coral, Florida. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in June of 2006. Sergeant Major Moore graduated recruit training from Charlie Company, First Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California and was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class in September of 2006. After graduation, First Sergeant Moore reported to the School of Infantry-West, Marine Combat Training aboard Camp Pendleton, California.
Upon completion of Marine Combat Training in October of 2006, Sergeant Major Moore received orders to Motor Vehicle Operators Course in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he revived the Military Occupational Specialty of 3531 Basic Motor Transport Operator. After graduating from Motor Vehicle Operators Course, Sergeant Major Moore received orders to Combat Logistics Regiment 37, Okinawa, Japan. He was promoted to Lance Corporal in May of 2007 and transferred to the Regiment S-3 as a Combat Marksmanship Coach. In January 2008, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal and in March of 2008, he was augmented to 9th Engineer Support Battalion and deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom from July 2008 to February 2009 where he served as the Licensing Non-Commissioned Officer, Dispatcher, and Motor Vehicle Operator.
In February 2010, Sergeant Major Moore reported to Marine Security Guard School in Quantico, Virginia . Sergeant Major Moore was promoted to Sergeant in April of 2010. Upon graduating from Marine Security Guard School he was assigned to Region 8, Belgrade, Serbia as a Watch Standard. In July of 2011, he transferred to Region 7, Conakry, Guinea as the Assistant Detachment Commander. In May of 2012, he transferred to Region 1, Moscow, Russia. In January of 2013, First Sergeant Moore was meritoriously promoted to Staff Sergeant.
In April 2013, Sergeant Major Moore received orders to Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Transportation Services Company, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he served as a Platoon Sergeant. From August 2014 to February 2015, Sergeant Major Moore deployed with the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force, Black Sea Rotational Force Romania and assumed duties as the Motor Transport Operations Chief. Upon returning from deployment, Sergeant Major Moore assumed the duties as the Company First Sergeant for approximately 3 months and the Motor Transport Operations Chief in support of the Integrated Training Exercise for 2 Months.
In December 2015, Sergeant Major Moore received orders to Marine Corps Special Operations Command, Marine Raider Regiment, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and assumed duties as the Regimental Motor Transport Chief. In June 2017, Sergeant Major Moore deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force. During this time, Sergeant Major Moore performed the duties as the Counter Isis Train and Equipment funds Manager and logistic advisor for the Special Operations Training Command Iraq. In September of 2017, Sergeant Major Moore was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
In June 2018, Sergeant Major Moore reported to Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to serve as an Instructor to Motor Vehicle Operators Course. During this time Sergeant Major Moore filled the billets of Motor Vehicle Operators Course Chief, Team Leader, and Marines Awaiting Training Staff Non-Commissioned Officer. In June of 2021, Sergeant Major Moore reported to Marine Air Support Squadron 3, Camp Pendleton, California where he served as the Communications and Electronics Company First Sergeant.
In January of 2022, Sergeant Major Moore was promoted to First Sergeant and transferred to Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry-West, where he served as the Infantry Marine Course, Infantry Weapons Course, and Headquarters Company First Sergeant. In March 2024, Sergeant Major Moore transferred to Marine Wing Support Squadron 373 where he served as the Motor Transport Company First Sergeant.
In April 2025, Sergeant Major Moore was promoted to his current rank and received orders to Recruiting Station Louisville where he currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Moore's personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (in lieu of 3rd award), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal (in lieu of 4th award). He is married to Stephanie and has four daughters, Ella, Bryleigh, Lillian, and Sofia.
