Major Trenton D. Snody

Major Trenton D. Snody currently serves as the Recruiting Station Commanding Officer.  He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 2011 through the Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) program.

After completing The Basic School and the Basic Logistics Officer Course, he was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 2 where he served as a Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Logistics Officer.  In 2015, he deployed in support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force, Crisis Response Africa, Black Sea Rotational Force 16.1/16.2 as the Logistics Detachment Officer-in-Charge. 

Following CLB-2, Captain Snody reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), Parris Island where he served as a Series Commander and Company Commander in Third Recruit Training Battalion.  Following his time in Recruit Training, Captain Snody was selected to serve as the Aide-de-Camp to the MCRD/Eastern Recruiting Region Commanding General.

Selected on the Commandant’s Career-Level Education Board, Captain Snody reported to Expeditionary Warfare School, graduating in May 2021.  He was then assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 372 where he served as the Airfield Operations Company Commander until June 2022.

Major Snody then reported to 1st Marine Regiment where he served as the Regimental Logistics Officer.  From March-October 2023, he deployed in support of Marine Rotational Force-Darwin 23.3 as the Command Element Logistics Officer.

Major Snody is a native of Seguin, Texas and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies/Political Science from the Virginia Military Institute.  His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two gold stars in lieu of third award).
