Jerry Laurenti, Recruiting Station Richmond operations chief, spends much of his day on the phone, working with the staff noncommissioned officers in charge of RS Richmond’s ten recruiting sub-stations as well as the two officer selection teams and the Military Entrance Processing Station liaisons, guiding the recruiting operations and shipping of more than 700 young men and women to Marine Corps basic training every year.
