U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Andrew Cornick, a native of Rochester, Minnesota, and 2004 graduate of Mayo High School was promoted to his current rank in a promotion ceremony at the Defense Distribution Center Susquahanna, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania Sept. 1, 2015. Cornick currently serves as the prior service recruiting administrative chief for 4th Marine Corps District aboard the DDCS. As the chief, he is responsible for providing administrative assistance to prior service recruiters throughout 4th MCD. Cornick joined the Marine Corps in 2005 and has been stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and New Cumberland, Pennsylvania and was part of a mobilization in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His awards include three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, two Marine Corps Good Conduct Medals, one Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal, a national Defense Service Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and two Armed Forces Reserve Medals.
