He has had offers to play at universities in Kentucky, Illinois, Minnesota, West Virginia and Ohio, but has committed to the University of Kentucky. He is slated to represent the Marine Corps East Team during the 4th annual Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl game taking place January 4, 2015. At the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

“It means that I could prove to other people that you can make it no matter what circumstances you haven been through,” said Asafo-Adjei. “It all pays off and this will show some of my younger teammates that they need to start working hard and this can all happen to them too.”

“They all know what I should do and how I should walk,” said Asafo-Adjei. “Hopefully, I can come away with a great experience.  I know some players that have committed to other schools who will be there, and I’ll get to see those guys and have my coach there to support me.”

In its fourth year, the game will feature approximately 100 student athletes selected from across the country based on their athletic and academic achievements and leadership traits synonymous with the Marine Corps values of honor, courage and commitment.

“This is a great opportunity for him,” said Millisor. “He shows leadership among his teammates and does a great job at representing his community through his sport. He always shows endurance, he’s always working hard, motivating his teammates and setting the example. We are really proud of him.”
