Sergeant Major Chester Wilson III (foreground), and Sergeant Major Mark F. Gonzales report to Colonel Robert M. Clark for the passing of the sword of office during a relief and appointment ceremony welcoming Sgt. Maj. Wilson as the new sergeant major and saying farewell to Sgt. Maj. Gonzales the old sergeant major of the 4th Marine Corps district May 10, 2019. Sgt. Maj. Wilson came to the 4th District from Recruiting Station Riverside, California. Sergeant Major Gonzales retired from the Marine Corps after 30 years of faithful service.
