Female poolees of Marine Corps Recruiting Station Richmond’s delayed entry program conduct the sit up portion of the initial strength test under the watchful eye of Staff Sgt. Jennifer Thiroux, a senior drill instructor from Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion and a Visalia, California native, during the Station’s annual female pool function. The event gave the female poolees an opportunity to learn what they can expect aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, as they undergo the longest and most difficult boot camp within the U.S. armed services to earn the coveted title of United States Marine.
