U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. John K. Wyatt, center right, incoming sergeant major of Marine Corps Recruiting Station Louisville, Kentucky, salutes U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Donald Hotchkiss, commanding officer of RS Louisville, before being handed the noncommissioned officers sword during an appointment, relief and retirement ceremony at the Kentucky Derby Museum, March 20, 2015. The passing of the sword symbolizes the responsibility of the welfare of all Marines appointed under him. Wyatt reported for duty at RS Louisville after completing a tour as the Drill Instructor School First Sergeant at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Wyatt replaced U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Daniel G. Bullock who retired after 27 years of service. (Courtesy photo by Rachel Rosenblatt/Released)
