Brian Stoldt, a U.S. Marine Corps poolee from Perrysburg, Ohio, dives head first into a pool of water during a tug-of-war contest between two recruiting sub-stations, at Recruiting Station Detroit's all-hands pool function May 3, 2014. Stoldt, 18, currently attends Perrysburg High School. More than 350 Recruiting Station Detroit Marines and poolees from across the 14,000-square miles of southeastern Michigan and western Ohio participated in an annual pool function. For poolees this is an opportunity to put their physical and mental strength to the test and build camaraderie within their recruiting sub-station. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
