Sergeant Major Sienkiel currently serves as the RS Cleveland SgtMaj, 4MCD. She has performed in this capacity since May 2020.
Sergeant Major Sienkiel reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina on 12 June 2001. Upon graduation in September, she reported to Marine Aviation Training Support Group 21, Pensacola, Florida for "A" school. After completing school in 2002, she was promoted to Private First Class and reported to "C" school at the Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training (CNATT) Unit in Cherry Point, North Carolina.
Lance Corporal Sienkiel earned the MOS 6412 and reported for duty to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14 (MALS-14) for her first duty station where she would go on to serve as a communication technician, Collateral Duty Inspector and work center supervisor.
In 2004, Corporal Sienkiel reported to CNA TT for the Combined COMSEC Course. Upon graduation she earned the additional MOS 6422, Crypto Tech. In 2005, Sergeant Sienkiel served as the Family Readiness Coordinator for MALS-14 for 12 months.
In January 2007, Sergeant Sienkiel reported to Drill Instructor School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. During her tour at Parris Island Staff Sergeant Sienkiel served in the billets of Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, Marine Corps Instructor Trainer of Water Survival (MCITWS), and Chief Drill Instructor. While aboard Parris Island, she attended the Formal Schools Instructor Course and the Physical Training Instructor Course. Upon completion of her tour at MCRD Parris Island, SSgt Sienkiel was meritoriously promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.
In July 2010, Gunnery Sergeant Sienkiel transferred to MALS-39, MCB Camp Pendleton, California where she served as the Communication/Navigation/ Cryptographic work center SNCOIC and later as the squadron Legal Officer. While serving with MALS-39, Gunnery Sergeant Sienkiel was attached to the T-AVB for a sea exercise as well as deployed with MALS-16 FWD to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.
In July 2014, Gunnery Sergeant Sienkiel was transferred to MALS-31, MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina where she served as the Communication/Navigation/Cryptographic work center SNCOIC. In January 2015, Gunnery Sergeant Sienkiel was assigned to MAG-31 as the Company Gunnery Sergeant. In August 2015, she was selected for First Sergeant and assigned as the Company B and Headquarters Company First Sergeant for 8th Communication Battalion.
In March 2019, First Sergeant Sienkiel transferred to Deployment Processing Command/Reserve Support Unit-East as the Senior Enlisted Leader where she stayed until May 2020.
Sergeant Major Sienkiel's professional military education includes the First Sergeant's Course, E-8 Seminar, Senior Enlisted Joint PME II, and Senior Enlisted PME. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management through Park University.
Sergeant Major Sienkiel's decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars in lieu of fourth award and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
