U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Jefferson Brink, a recruiter from Recruiting Sub-Station Richmond South and Eureka, Calif. native, receives the report from an Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet squad leader, during the Martin Luther King Jr. Drill Meet, held in Richmond, Va., January 18, 2014. The competition brought more than 40 Army and Air Force JROTC units from throughout the Northeast to compete in various drill categories. The Marine recruiters served as judges for the armed squad, unarmed squad and color guard portions of the competition and talked to cadets interested in the opportunities available to them in the Marine Corps.
