Recruiting Station Columbus, based in Columbus, Ohio covers 55,000-square miles and reaches five states: Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and Tennessee. The station is comprised of 12 substations, two officer selection stations, and one Military Entrance Processing Stations.
R.S. Columbus began as R.S. Charleston and was located in Charleston, West Virginia at the G.C. Building from 1984 to 1999. From 2000 to 2010, it was located in Teays Valley, W.Va. The station moved to its former facility in Ona, W.Va. March 2010. In June 2018 the recruiting station headquarters moved to its current location at 200 North High Street, Columbus, and was designated R.S. Columbus. The headquarters staff of 16 supports more than 90 recruiters.
